Hi, I'm Max Stern.

I teach courses for founders at Duke University and am a practicing entrepreneur.

At Duke, my official title is Lecturing Fellow in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. I teach courses and support programs for student founders across all stages, schools, and industries.

Previously, I spent five years building Closure, a funeral industry startup that helps families file notifications of death online, and grew it for 5 years before selling in 2022.

Now, I split time between Durham and New York City.
